Sound is always something I am experimenting with. There’s a lot of hidden sound in the everyday world, and I’m just beginning to tap into in. My recent sound explorations have been extensions of my sculptural works, give them a listen below.
I Wish I Knew Your Name Under Better Circumstances
Audio installation included in my weaving of the same title. I asked my transgender peers how they wanted to be remembered when they die, and I recorded the responses with my voice. The backing track is #3 by Aphex Twin.
Men In Stripes
Audio installation included in my sculptures of the same title. A recreation of a Memphis Redbirds game using the real names and positions of players on the Wyoming State Penitentiary Baseball Team, comprised of prisoners.
